I've got the problem too and there's tons of posts on the web about the problem. I'm just not sure how to handle the problem since I'm here in Japan, but bought my computer in America. I've got some calls to make.

i called the japan applecare center and pushed to have them look at my computer and they said that someone will be by between 12 and 3 today to pick it up. i'm pretty confident that they'll take a good look at it and replace any problem components.
ironically the machine does seem to be running better now that i reset the pram and the pmu. but, i would feel better if they took a real look at it.
i actually had quite an issue resetting the pmu. the machine would only boot with a black screen. i had to reset the pram again four times to get it to book properly. no one said anything about that.
